Elevated Work Platform

Duration:   

 3-day course broken down into

  • Day 1 Training Trainee book theory 

  • Day 2 Training Trainee assessment and practical training 

  • Day 3 Training Trainee assessment and practical training and assessment  including WorkSafe Mandated instrument

 

Cost: 

 

  • $875 which includes hire of EWP

  • $750 using your own EWP

Unit of competency:  TLILIC0005 - Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 meters or more)

Objectives:   

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type Elevating Work Platform (EWP) where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a HRWL licence to operate this plant.

Boom-type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.

A person performing this work is required to hold a boom-type elevating work platform High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).

 

This unit requires a person operating an EWP to:

  • plan for the work/task

  • prepare for the work/task

  • perform work/task

  • pack up

Entry Requirements:   Must be 18+ years of age, have current photo ID

Course Content:  Theory and practical training, covering workplace setup, hazard identification, pre-start checks, after start checks, operation and shutdown of the the EWP.

Assessment:

  • Theory assessment – you MUST undertake through pre-course study to be able to pass the theory assessment.

  • Calculation Assessment

  • Practical Assessment

All training and assessment is undertaken with accredited Worksafe Victoria Assessors.  Upon successful completion of your course, you have 60 days to submit your documentation to Australia Post to apply for your licence

Special Conditions:

Trainees must

  • reside or work in Victoria to be able to undertake this course.

  • Obtain USI (Unique Student Identifier) number

  • Print out of your USI Transcript

  • Enrol and complete supplied LLN (Language Literacy and Numeracy)


Enrolment into the course does not guarantee successful completion and does not guarantee employment by the RTO.  Extra Training and or assessments may be required, which will incur additional fees. Please contact the office for further information.

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

A hat,  sunscreen, fully enclosed footwear, HI Vis clothing - you can bring your own or we can supply a vest

Regulators:

Integral Training Pty Ltd is not a CRICOS approved provider. Training is not provided to students on student visa.
